She lied...
A lovely night at a chilled birthday party for Miss L and Miss J last night.
Miss J said earlier that there'll be a couple of people I know there, but also lots of new faces and some interesting ladies to meet.
So I trek across town by myself, all geared up to be brave in a party where I don't know many people.
And lo and behold I knew almost everyone who walked in the door.
How wonderful! All beautiful people, and a few who I've not caught up with for ages.
Funnily enough, one of the 3 people I didn't know, turns out to be a teacher at a school near my work. So some networking was made, in a tipsy way.
Mr L turned up into the room full of women, and Miss A commented that, if she knew boys were invited, she would've brought Mr A along.
While I cannot imagine this crowd being exclusionist along gender lines, I did point out that Mr L was a bigger girl than most of them in the room.
And sure enough, he soon appeared in Miss L's strapless leather sheath dress. What a stunner!
And there was Miss M in a tulle, handing out canapes; and an appearance from Miss C who I've not seen for ages; and Miss N looking like something out of the movies when cracking a stockwhip; and Miss L in red a white talking to an excitable tipsy swannies fan; oh, and so many more people...
And then Cinderella style, I got a lift back at midnight in the rain, to our wonderful queer ghetto. Many thanks to the gorgeous Miss J.
